Reading Room SUPERNATURAL THRILLERS "Headless Horseman Rides Again!" Part 1

Before the wildly-sucessful Sleepy Hollow TV series, there was another updating of the legend...
...over 40 years ago in a never-reprinted tale!
What do they see?
Could it be...?
This book-length story from Marvel's Supernatual Thrillers #6 (1973) was the final one-shot tale from the short-lived comic before N'Kantu the Living Mummy took the book over for the remainder of its' run.

Reading Room SPACEHAWK "Pirates of Uranus" in 3-D!

Get those 3-D glasses out kiddies (red lens on the left, blue lens on the right)...
...as we look in on one more version of what many believe to be the prototypical SpaceHawk tale...

Ray Zone did a magnificent job converting Wolverton's art to 3-D in 3-D Zone #18 (1989).
We hope you enjoyed this Halloween treat, and follow us for the rest of the week as we present more goodies during this most sacred of holidays.

Reading Room SPACEHAWK "Pirates of Uranus" UNCUT

This tale from Novelty's Target Comics #10 (1940)...
...is the most reprinted and reformatted of all the stories about Basil Wolverton's "Superhuman Enemy of Crime!"!
Besides the usual reprintings in both color and b/w, the tale was hand-colored and edited down by two pages in Marvel's Epic Illustrated #12 (1984)...
...and even converted into blue/red 3-D in 3-D Zone #18 (1989)
Wouldn't you just love to see this stuff animated?
Lord knows I would...

Thanks for Your Halloween Orders BoyFiends and GhoulFriends!

We at Atomic Kommie Comics™ wanted to say 'thank you" to all who ordered our ghoulish goodies!
It's nice to see so many like-minded ghouls and creatures out there! ;-)

With the second-scariest day, Election Day, less than a week later, we'd like to recommend a couple of satellite stores for your consideration...
"Pay My F@#$ing Mortgage!" which shows how only selling the legendary Honus Wagner T-206 card will enable you to keep a roof over your head during the recovery...
and
"Fill My F@#$ing Gas Tank!" which follows the same theme, but with ridiculously-fluctuating gasoline prices!
Now, THOSE are scary!

Happy Halloween

Reading Room: BLACK CAY MYSTERY "Halloween Nightmare"

Here's a re-presentation of a topical terror tale about Halloween from Harvey's Black Cat Mystery #34 (1952).
Penciled by Many Stallman and inked by John Giunta.
The writer is unknown.
Unlike many other Harvey Comics horror stories, when this one was reprinted in Black Cat #52 (two years later), nothing was altered!
Most of the horror-era tales were literally butchered when they were reprinted, as you can see HERE and HERE.
