Space Hero Saturdays MOON ZERO TWO Part 1

Here's a movie that promoted itself as the "First Space Western"...
...though this psychedelic 1969 flick is more "Space" than "Western"!
Damn claim jumpers!
As you can see, life in 2021 (three years ago) is rough!
Next Saturday, the exciting conclusion as well as some behind-the-scenes info!

Reading Room / Tales Twice Told WEIRD TALES OF THE FUTURE "Desert Castle"

We Presented the Later Telling of This Tale HERE...
...now here's the earlier (and never-reprinted version) from Key Publishing's Weird Tales of the Future #3 (1952)!

Note that, unlike the 1970s telling which gave the year as 2995, this earlier, 1950s version, illustrated by journeyman Tony Mortellaro,  is set in 1995, which makes the setting, technology, and clothing much more acceptable!

Wednesday Worlds of Wonder BRAK THE BARBARIAN "Sword and the Road"

Who is Brak the Barbarian?
Though we presented his first comic appearance last week, most current comics fans are totally-unaware of him!
So let's clear up the matter...
After this never-reprinted text feature from Marvel's Savage Tales V1N6 (1974), there were two more Brak prose short-story collections; When the Idols Walked (1978) and Fortunes of Brak (1980).
All the books were re-edited into the collection shown below.
Next Week:
Part One of "The Unspeakable Shrine"!

Reading Room / Tales Twice Told TALES FROM THE TOMB "Weird House"

Usually, We Start With the Earlier (1950s) Version of a Story...

...but in this case, it's the later (1970s) telling of the tale!
(BTW, isn't it odd that scientists of 2995 use the technology and dress in clothing from the 1950s?)
Illustrated by Oscar Novelle, this story from Eerie Publications' Tales from the Tomb V3N5 (1971) is a simple, effective "haunted house/castle" story.
The jarring aspect is placing it over a thousand years in the future!
Why?
Thursday's re-presentation of the never-reprinted original version might hold the answer!
BTW, the author of both the original and reworked versions is...unknown!
