Cover Gallery SPACE ACTION

Here's the complete cover collection for Ace's Space Action...
Art by Lou Cameron
...which share something in common with the covers for Lost Worlds and Fantastic Worlds besides being science fiction-themed (We showed those covers HERE)!
Art by Matt Fox and/or Lou Cameron
Artist unknown
The answer?
None of the covers relate to any of the stories inside the books!
(But they're kool, eh?)

Cover Gallery FANTASTIC WORLDS and LOST WORLDS

They ran for a combined total of only five issues...
Art by Alex Toth
...but Standard's short-lived sci-fi anthologies Fantastic Worlds and Lost Worlds had some first-rate talent both on the covers and inside them!
Art by John Celardo
Plus, all five covers had something in common quite unique in publishing...
...none of the covers had anything to do with any of the interior stories!
Art by Alex Toth & Mike Peppe
Despite the captions, which did mention titles from stories inside the books...
Art by Mike Sekowsky & John Celardo
...the art didn't depict anything even close to what was in the tales!
But they sure look kool, don't they?

Cover Gallery SPEED CARTER: SPACEMAN & SPACE SQUADRON

Here's a look at the covers for the complete run of Speed Carter: SpaceMan...

Oddly, though they're really nice pieces of art, they never relate to the stories inside the book!

Bill Everett (who didn't do any inside art) did two covers, and Joe Maneely (who did all the Speed stories in the first three issues finally got to do a cover with the last issue!
Here are the covers for Space Squadron.
Note the variants in foreign editions with retitled and redrawn covers...
Art by Sol Brodsky & Christopher Rule.
Vignettes at bottom by George Tuska.

Canadian Edition
Easily one of the worst recompositing jobs I've ever seen!

Empire Magazine REALLY "Covers" Avengers: Infinity War!

England's Empire Magazine has a half-dozen covers...
...featuring an exclusive photoshoot with the Avengers: Infinity War cast as well as the kool illustrated cover (above) sent to subscribers!
Thanos gets a solo cover (you going to argue with him? I'm not!), then the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and various allies share the remainder.
What I find interesting is that all the masked heroes pose without masks, emphasizing the performers, not the characters, per se!
You can get the magazine at most major brick and mortar bookstores (like Barnes & Noble) that carry magazines.

JACKIE ROBINSON Classic Comic Book Covers

Fawcett Comics produced six issues of a comic about Jackie Robinson between 1949-1952.
Digitally-restored and remastered from the actual original covers!
Collect all six for a kool wall display!
Trivia note: While there were many comics dedicated to specific baseball players and teams, only Babe Ruth Sports Comics had more issues than Jackie Robinson's book, and it ran stories about other sports like football and basketball!
And watch
by Ken Burns
on your local PBS station!
