Fantastic Femmes--Karina Lombard

Born in Tahiti, Karina moved to Europe where she became fluent Spanish, English, Italian, French, and German along with extensive training in performiong arts while attending private schools.
After turning 18, she relocated to New York where she began modeling, dancing and acting, on both stage and screen.
Note: Since she's multi-lingual, Karina has appeared in numerous productions in Italy and France that have not aired in the US. (Our loss!)
Like several other Fantastic Femmes including Jennifer Beals, and Pam Grier, Karina has been a regular on the award-winning cable series The L Word.
Currently, she's appearing on the acclaimed cable series Rescue Me. as well as developing a project (which she's writing the music and lyrics for) with Cirque de Soleil.

Fantastic Femmes--Jennifer Beals

Her first major role (Alex in FlashDance) made Jennifer Beals a star!
After more than 50 roles in films and tv, she's again become a household name due to her performance as Bette in The L Word!
In between, Jennifer's done everything from low-budget indies to big-budget studio projects, including lots of genre work.

Turned down the role of Dana Scully in X-Files. after being recommended by fellow Yale classmate David Duchovny!
Turned down the role of Apollonia in Purple Rain.

Fantastic Femmes--Pam Grier

From her first featured role in The Big Doll House, Pam Grier was THE female action star of the 1970s, dominating the blaxplotation genre along with appearances in several horror flix.
Honing her acting skills, she moved to drama and comedy film & tv work, including multi-episode arcs on Crime Story and Miami Vice and as a regular on Linc's.
She's a cancer survivor, and a regular on The L Word.
And one of my favorite actresses of all time! ;-)
