Wednesday Worlds of Wonder WOLFF "Manuscript of Rep-Tah"

When Last We Looked In on Our Favorite Post-Apocalyptic Barbarian...

...(except for Thundarr) rescued from wolves by a woman who calls herself Galadra, Wolff joins her on a quest...

From New England Library's Dracula #6 (1972), the Luis Gaska (aka Sadko) & Estaban Maroto series just gets weirder and even somewhat psychedelic!

It also looks like somebody lost track of who's who!

Galadra looks remarkably like Rulah, who enchanted Wolff, turning him into a werewolf!

Was it a error by translator Laurence James? 

(The original version of this story was in Spanish!)

Note: this tale concludes the six Wolff stories included in Warren's Dracula TPB.

The remainder of Wolff's adventures were never published in America, but we'll be presenting them here over the next few weeks.

BTW, here's the cover to this issue by Enrique Torres (aka Enrich) using horror icon Barbara Steele as Rulah/Galandra!
If his style looks familiar, he did a lot of covers for Warren Magazines in the 1970s!

Though largely discredited today, Von Daniken's books about "ancient astronauts" influenced pop culture from the 1970s to the present, including tv (BattleStar Galactica), movies (Prometheus and Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull), and comics (Tragg and the Sky Gods)

The Eternals was originally called Return of the Gods and, like Mister Machine/Machine Man was intentionally not intended to be part of the Marvel Universe!

Great Treasury of Christmas Comic Book Stories

There's a kool coffee-table book available now called Great Treasury of Christmas Comic Book Stories, featuring tales from 1940s and 50s comic books about Christmas.
It's a cool, kid-friendly throwback to the days when publishers did oversized holiday annuals.
Of course, most tales feature Santa Claus, but other characters pop up including Atomic Mouse, Lil' TomBoy, Ebenezer Scrooge, and even the Easter Bunny! Plus there's a tastefully-done Nativity tale.
Art is by some of the best artists of the era including Walt Kelly (Pogo), John Stanley (Little Lulu/Nancy), and Richard Scarry.

The History of The Green Hornet!

Since The Green Hornet first appeared on radio in 1936, he's made the transition to motion pictures, comics and television.
Very little has been written about the masked marvel and what has been recorded in magazine articles and encyclopedias prior to this publication never explored the character as deeply... or accurately.

A complete history of the radio series from the creation to conception sketches, reprints from production files to the untold adventures, biographic details of the cast and the characters they played (including Mike Axford, Kato, Gunnigan, Lenore Case, Linda Travis, Ed Lowry, Clicker Binney, Commissioner Higgins, etc.) and background information is all provided under one cover.
Also included are details of the two cliffhanger serials produced by Universal in the early forties, the unaired 1952 television pilot, the long-running popularity of the comic books and the William Dozier television series (1966-67) starring Van Williams and Bruce Lee including a complete episode guide documenting every episode including unproduced scripts and plot ideas.
