When "Sexually-Suggestive" ISN'T!

I use Google AdSense on my various RetroBlogs.
I was recently sent a warning that states: "As stated in our program policies, we may not show Google ads on pages with content that is sexually suggestive or intended to sexually arouse.
This includes, but is not limited to: pornographic images, videos, or games, sexually gratifying text, images, audio, or video" with a link to the following page on my blog as an example... http://atocom.blogspot.com/2012/04/reading-room-pussycat-mirthful.html
I pointed out that it's NON-NUDE CARTOON CHEESECAKE sold to kids in the 1960s, no raunchier than MAD Magazine!
So far, no response from Google!
Have we regressed so far that satirical cartoons from the '60s are now considered "sexually-suggestive"?What next? Betty and Veronica in suwimsuits are "sexually-suggestive"?
Well, if the price of integrity is losing Google AdSense, so be it!

Reading Room: PUSSYCAT "Cool & Carefree Capers of a Curvy, Cuddly Chick!"

We showed you HERE how Phantom Lady handled terrorists at the 1948 Olympics...
...now, as the real Olympic Games wind down, look at how Agent PussyCat dealt with danger in a similar situation 20 years later (and 44 years ago)!
This tale originally appeared in Male Annual #5 (1967), but this is from the one-shot PussyCat (1968) that reprinted her stories from the various "laddy" magazines published by Martin Goodman, who also owned Marvel Comics at the time.
The writer is officially-unknown, but the scripter is probably Stan Lee or Larry Lieber, and the artist is pretty clearly good-girl legend Bill Ward with inking by Bill Everett.

Reading Room: PUSSYCAT "Madly Mirthful Misadventures of a Lively Little Lass!"

If Austin Powers had a sister in the Swingin' 60s, she would have been...
...our favorite, funtastic, femme Agent of S.C.O.R.E.!
This tale originally appeared in Male Annual #4 (1966), but this is from the one-shot PussyCat (1968) that reprinted her stories from the various "laddy" magazines published by Martin Goodman, who also owned Marvel Comics at the time.

Reading Room: PUSSYCAT "Mirthful Misadventures of a Naughty Nonsensical Nymphet!"

If Austin Powers had a sister in the Swingin' 60s, she would have been...
...our favorite, funtastic, femme Agent of S.C.O.R.E.!

This tale originally appeared in Stag Annual #3 (1966), but this is from the one-shot PussyCat (1968) that reprinted her stories from various "laddy" magazines published by Martin Goodman, who also owned Marvel Comics.
The writer and artist are officially-unknown, but the scripter is probably Stan Lee or Larry Lieber, and the artist(s) probably include Stan Goldberg, Al Hartley, and Bill Ward.

PussyCat, PussyCat, I Love You...

Mentioning Bill Everett in our recent Gullivar Jone of Mars posts reminded me of this...
...the centerfold for the one-shot 1968 PussyCat b/w magazine for which Bill also did the cover...
Everett, besides being a talented writer and illustrator, also did coloring and production work from time to time, including graytone work (usually listed as "special effects") and spot illustrations for both Marvel and Skywald's b/w magazine lines!
Truly a Renaissance man...
Plus, PussyCat will return shortly...(hey, we've been busy)!

Design of the Week--PussyCat Agent of S.C.O.R.E.

Each week, we post a limited-edition design, to be sold for exactly 7 days, then replaced with another!
This week...if Austin Powers had a sister, she'd be PussyCat: Agent of S.C.O.R.E. whose adventures we've presented HERE and HERE!
Written by Stan Lee & Larry Lieber and illustrated by a who's-who of good girl artists including Wally Wood, Jim Mooney, Bill Ward, and Bill Everett, the 1960s she-spy appeared in mens' magazines published by Marvel Comics' then-publisher Martin Goodman as well as a one-shot b/w magazine that reprinted those earlier appearances.
In fact, it's the one-shot's painted cover by Bill Everett that we use on our line of kool kollectibles available for one week only!

Tomorrow:
a return to Halloween Horror with the first
Dracula comic story!

Reading Room: Pussycat: Agent of S.C.O.R.E. in "Merry Mixed-Up Miss"

Didn't know Austin Powers had a sister, did you?
Actually, he doesn't.
Pussycat preceded Austin by several decades, but we'll save the background for our next entry.
Enjoy this titillating tale, written by Stan Lee and drawn by Wally Wood and Bill Ward!
...for now!
But, Pussycat will return...
