Wednesday Worlds of Wonder AIRSHIP ENTERPRISE "Infernal Machine" Part 2b

...Responding to a distress call from a research vessel, the Enterprise encounters a belt of living and aggressive matter that forces two scoutships down to the surface of largest of the rock-like, sentient beings, where a number of them are now mind-controlled by an entity calling itself Aido Querdo...

...but not for awhile.
There are two more issues to this tale,, which we may bring back in the future.
Sadly, writer/artist Brian Denham hasn't continued the series...not that he hasn't been busy...Click HERE.
So let us know if you want to see the rest of the saga.

Wednesday Worlds of Wonder AIRSHIP ENTERPRISE "Infernal Machine" Part1b

Responding to a distress call from a nearby research vessel, the crew of the Enterprise encounter a floating debris belt...which turns out to be both living organic matter...and hostile!
(Don't you hate it when that happens?)
To Be Continued...
Next Wednesday!

While not exactly original, it's a fun "alternate universe" take on the concept.
The characters aren't clones of the characters of the series' "inspiration", so there's some unique aspects to both plot and character interaction!
But there's enough in-joke "reference" to keep any serious fan entertained!

Wednesday Worlds of Wonder AIRSHIP ENTERPRISE "Infernal Machine" Part1a

We're taking a one-month detour from Lost World...

...to present a totally-different, yet amazingly-familiar "World of Wonder"!

To Be Continued...
Next Wednesday!
While not exactly original, it's a fun "alternate universe" take on the concept.
I do have a question, though...why is the captain named "Janus", a male god?
Yeah, I know "Janus Tibbs" is a play on "James Tiberius", with "Tibbs" being a reference to Sidney Poitier's three-appearance film detective Virgil Tibbs.
But, considering writer/artist Brian Denham used performer/sci-fi aficionado Janelle Monae as the character's visual model, why not call her "Janelle"?
BTW, though it initially-appeared in Antarctic Press' b/w anthology SteamPunk Tales #1 (2014), this is from Antarctic's Airship Enterprise: the Infernal Machine #1 which re-presented the tale in color!
