Space Heroine Saturdays TARA "Key of the Cuchin Van!"
We continue the space-spanning saga of Tara, Queen of the Space Pirates ...with this tale from Nedor's Wonder Comics #18 (1948). |

Friday Fun EH! "That's How T.V. was Born!!"
For the record, this is not a true story!
In fact, this never-reprinted tale from Charlton's EH! #1 (1953) isn't even close to the truth!

Reading Room UNUSUAL TALES "Man Who Could Paint on Air"
With an intriguing cover like this...
...how could I resist running this rarely-seen tale by writer Joe Gill and artist Steve Ditko!
This story of artistic alien assassins and poisonous pigments appeared in Charlton's Unusual Tales #7 (1957) during one of Steve Ditko's most prolific periods as he freelanced for several companies including Atlas (later Marvel), Charlton, and St John doing a little in every genre...even romance!

Wednesday Worlds of Wonder MEDUSA CHAIN Part 2
Convicted murderer Chon Adams' 13-year sentence is to serve on the space frieghter Medusa.
As the ship takes off and he's put into suspended animation, he dreams of the incident that resulted in his (wrongful) conviction.
Now in deep space, the Medusa's crew is revived...
To be continued, next Wednsday...
A year earlier, Ernie had been the editor of Green Lantern, and had pushed through a story set in deep space featuring a kid stupidly going out an airlock...without a spacesuit!
