Reading Room TIME WARP "Switch in Time!"

If you're a sci-fi fan, you know the concept of "change the past and change the future"...
...as presented in Ray Bradbury's "A Sound of Thunder"?
Here's a deliberately-created variation of if...
The story's end ignores what the Professor pointed out...that the tech of the time was too primitive to allow Einstein to develop, much less test, his ground-breaking theories!
And Native Americans of the era had little tech of their own!
DC's Time Warp #4 (1980) was edited by Jack C Harris, who apparently allowed writer David Allikas to go for a twist ending over plot logic.

Wednesday Worlds of Wonder CHRONICLES OF GENGHIS GRIMTOAD "Part 3"

To protect Prince Eric, heir to the throne of Haven, from death at the claws of Toadthrax the Sorcerer (servant of the usurper King Kang), King Ranald sends his son along with Queen Jade, bodyguard Quanah: the Painted Warrior along with Genghis Grimtoad (inept apprentice to court sorcerer Karbunkle Grimtoad) to Quanah's mountainous northern homeland!
Kang's troops catch up with the refugees in Boglund, Grimtoad's homeland.
The group, (despite Genghis' ineptiude at magic) manages to escape, but Queen Jade is wounded...
"Ulp!", indeed, Genghis!
To be Continued
Next Wednesday!
Written by Alan Grant & John Wagner and illustrated by Ian Gibson, the series appeared in 2-page installments in all 20 issues of Marvel UK's bi-weekly Strip Magazine (their version of Marvel USA's Epic Magazine) and ended, incomplete, when the title was cancelled.
The strip was compiled along with the unpublished material to finish the story for a graphic novel version published in 1990.
Though intended for sale in both in the UK and USA, the trade paperback received limited distribution here and hasn't been reprinted since then!

Holiday Reading Room EVERY DAY'S A HOLLY DAY "Labor Day"

It's ironic anti-Union/pro-"Right to Work" Don the Con tweeted this...
...on a day meant to celebrate unions!
Why is this 1955 comic entitled "Every Day's a Holly Day" instead of "Every Day's a Holiday"?
Because it was given away to kids by grocers who sold Holly Sugar!
Illustrated by John Rosenberger, it's a unique pamphlet covering a number of American holidays, including both Lincoln and Washington's Birthdays (before they were combined into "Presidents' Day" in 1962), Mothers' Day (though not Fathers' Day), Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and a couple of holidays we've largely abandoned...Pan-American Day and American Indian Day!
We'll be presenting the other chapters on the dates they fall upon.
Watch for them!
