After seeing Ken Burns' The War, we at Atomic Kommie Comics™ thought of doing something in the same vein, showing the gritty, dramatic, truth in honest, non-romanticised terms.
Not like Sgt. Fury or Our Army at War, but something that would pay respect to the dogfaces and leathernecks who actually won the war!
We proudly present... our World War II line , classic comic images drawn by veterans, for veterans, history and WWII buffs, or anyone who admires the men and women who put their lives on the line to stop true evil from conquering the world, not because they wanted to, but because they had to!
We've digitally-restored and remastered them on a line of kool kollectibles which would make perfect Memorial Day, Flag Day, or 4th of July gifts for the WWII veteran in your life.
Choose from t-shirts, mugs, magnets, BBQ aprons, and many other goodies.
What better way to say "thank you" to the guys or gals of the "Greatest Generation" for what they did for the world?

Comic books played a major part in shaping the public's impression of both our troops and our enemies during World War II.
Among the classiest were these three beautiful covers for Contact Comics, an aviation-oriented title.
Each one paid honor to the aviation division of one of the three armed forces branches. (The Air Force as a separate branch didn't come about until after WWII)

Fantastic Femmes--Charlotte Lewis
(1986)
Teen model turned actress Charlotte Lewis made her film debut in Roman Polanski's 1985 film Pirates at the age of 16.What was not known at the time was that the director may have molested the then-underage girl before filming began!
She's had an on-again, off-again film-tv career, working for several years straight, doing other things for several years, then returning to show business, then disappearing again.
She also posed for Playboy in 1993.
(Pirates, 1985)
NOTE: Google searches tend to confuse her with the same-named character played by Rebecca Mader from the tv series LOST.
Charlotte has not appeared on LOST.
Interestingly, almost all her film / tv work has been genre! (out of 27 projects, over 20 were genre!)
She hasn't appeared onscreen since 2003.
Trivia: Dated Mickey Rourke, Eric Clapton, and Charlie Sheen while appearing in movie or video projects with them!
NOTE: Google searches tend to confuse her with the same-named character played by Rebecca Mader from the tv series LOST.
Charlotte has not appeared on LOST.
(with Charlie Sheen, 1986)
