While the folks in Appalachia deserve some of the blame for the current "so-called" President, voting against someone who has already broken his impossible promises to bring back coal jobs, at least they were motivated by some degree of desperation as the old life is slipping away. I don't agree with them, but I at least understand them a little bit...they are my people. But it's the folks in the upper Midwest who boggled my mind, the folks who voted for Trump and the Republicans after Obama and the Democrats bailed out the car industry less than a decade before. Republicans were not there for folks of Michigan but you'd never think it to see what they say now. There's plenty of blame to go around on this dope's success (bewildered media, fatuous and cringing pols, and ignorant voters too dim to vote their own self-interest).
Thanks for posting this comic. Its pretty funny looking. But as a person from the south looking at your comments, its ridiculous to me and here is why. The hillbilly stereotype in the south has been replaced by a new southern stereotype of people. Everywhere I go I hear person after person after person say over and over again, "I'm from California but its too expensive out there." That is the new stereotype of people in the south I kid you not.
