Double Your Summer Fun with Double The Shadows!

What's better than an adventure of The Shadow unseen for half a century?
How about TWO adventures?
First, the guy with the gadgets and blue/green spandex faces off against the evil descendants of both Genghis Khan and Attila the Hun on Monday at
...then, the "classic" 1940s pulp/radio version faces off against a bootlegger mob led by an an acrobatic, athletic mastermind in a fight to the death over Niagara Falls on Thursday in
The heat is on for crime this summer!

Space Heroine Saturdays TARA "Satellite of the Moon Spiders!"

Tara's home, Wonder Comics, had been cancelled...
...but there was still one graphic tale of fighting interplanetary injustice to be told!
Our Space Heroine's final comic story appeared in Standard's Thrilling Comics #71 (1949), illustrated by her co-creator Gene Fawcette.
But, this isn't her last appearance in Space Heroine Saturdays!

Reading Room: SPACE ACTION "Weird Threat of the Space Giants"

There's nothing better than some good 'ol cheesy sci-fi schlock...
...just think of it as a SyFy network Saturday night movie, but on paper rather than your TV screen!
This never-reprinted tale from Ace's Space Action #2 (1952) was illustrated by workhorse Bill Molno, but the writer's name has eluded our keen senses.
Lucky guy!

Wednesday Worlds of Wonder SILVER SURFER: THE ULTIMATE COSMIC EXPERIENCE Conclusion

Original, unused cover by Jack Kirby & Mike Royer and published cover by Earl Norem
Caught by the CIA in an energy-absorbing trap, the Silver Surfer seemed destined for experimentation in a government laboratory, but something from space swoops down and frees him...
"Tamam Shud" means "ended" or "finished" in ancient Persian.
Bet a lot of you thought it was a quote from a writer named "Tamam"!
The actual quote is from Edward FitzGerald's famous translation of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam.
Was Stan the Man poetic or pompous?
Next Wednesday, a follow-up with the text pieces from the graphic novel, including the bios of the creatives!
