Jack "King" Kirby was indeed a visionary!
This was done, tongue-in-cheek, for a book published in 1991 called The Art of Mickey Mouse edited by Craig Yoe, but seems extremely prophetic now!

Space Hero Saturdays JET POWERS "InterPlanetary War"
Like any respectable Space Hero, Magazine Enterprises' Jet Powers visited Mars...
...and ran right into the middle of an interplanetary war...but one that, for a change, didn't involve Earth!
But, the Queen doesn't realize a danger threatening not only Mars, but Earth as well, lurks within her own court...in a sequel tale to this one by writer Gardner Fox and artist Bob Powell from ME's Jet Powers #3 (1951)!
Jet Powers was a typical all-American scientist/pilot/adventurer who fought foes of democracy on Earth, in space, and even other dimensions!

Friday Fun ROWAN & MARTIN'S LAUGH IN "Five Year Plan for the Moon" & "...as Used by Our Astronaughts in Space!"
Though largely-forgotten today...
Wraparound cover of #12
Artist Unknown
...this 1960s comedy-variety TV series was ground-breaking in a number of ways.
Besides the show's anti-Establishment content, which was always a source of contention with NBC network censors, it had an amazing amount of tie-in merchandise...including a MAD-style magazine!
In 1969, with the first Moon landing about to occur, the mag took a couple of looks at the space program...
In 1969, with the first Moon landing about to occur, the mag took a couple of looks at the space program...
...and...
By the time these features appeared in the final issue of Laufer Publishing's Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In (#12 in 1969), the use of images of the actual performers from the show had been reduced to the cover and a couple of one-pagers based on long-running gags like the "Flying Fickle Finger of Fate Award".
Laufer Publishing was best-known for the legendary 1960s-70s teen magazine Tiger Beat!,...
...which continues to this day as a website, though not a print magazine!

Written and illustrated by Ernő Zórád, this 1981 Hungarian one-shot adaptation of the original French novel by Pierre Boule has never been officially-published in English.
But, thanks to the fine work of Kyriee (Scans), Swatura Od (translation) and Avoros (scripting), we're finally able to understand this tale in English.
Thanks, guys.

The novel (Monkey Planet) that the movie (and the graphic novel) were based upon!
There was never a novelization of the movie itself!
