Mars STILL Attacks...15 years later!

It's almost Halloween, and, in a fit of nostalgia, I searched the Net for Mars Attacks. (I worked for Topps when the movie came out in 1996!)
Imagine my surprise to discover...thanks to the WayBack Machine, that the site was operational until July of 2011, and still exists HERE!
If you want to see a classic example of pre-Web 2.0 site-making, have a look!
It's retro-kool!

Coming Up: Classic Dracula & Frankenstein!

The RetroBlogs™ have run lots of Frankenstein stuff in October, but not the classic tale...
...until now!
Starting Monday, Hero & Heroine Histories™ will present the Classics Illustrated version, uncut and uncensored!
At the same time, we'll be running the first Dracula comic adaptation, a book-length tale from Eerie #12, right here at Atomic Kommie Comics™ also complete and uncensored!
(There wasn't a Classics Illustrated version until the 1980s!)
Don't miss them!

1953 War of the Worlds Posters

Because Halloween makes me think of War of the Worlds, here's a link to a batch of 6 limited-edition posters from the first (and best) movie version of HG Wells' novel.

Photographed from the original posters (not from second-generation repros, tiny pix in books or low-rez internet files), the art has been lovingly-restored and digitally-remastered.
And, best of all, every one of the posters features those really-kool Martian war machines!
And there's even a couple of foreign versions...

Enjoy! ;-)
