Scripted by Christopher Priest (as "James C Owlsey"), and illustrated by Ernie Chan/Chua (with an assist on layouts by John Buscema), this never-reprinted tale from Marvel's Conan the Barbarian Annual #11 (1987) does deal with disease, as shown by the disfigured Habar shown above.

But most of that material is later in the tale...which you'll see...

Stan Lee (1922-2018) IN the Comics (Conclusion)

As we've been showing for the past couple of days, Stan Lee didn't just write and edit comics...

...he appeared as a character in them as well!

Writer/editor Stan Lee (in the pink...er...salmon shirt), and artist Stan Goldberg (doing a great Dan DeCarlo imitation) produced this tale for Marvel's Chili #3 (1969).

Note: In the  Silver Age, Stan and the assorted artists he was working with would appear in 3-5 page stories in the 64-page Annuals, showing to fans how they conceived the stories in those books and their monthly counterparts.

Since there are a half-dozen of them, and they've already been reprinted (plus, I couldn't decide which of them I'd include), we suggest you track down the reprints of...

Once Lee stepped down as a writer/editor and became publisher, he became more an icon than mere mortal...

...as the publication of the Origins of Marvel Comics book series, with intros and behind-the-scenes stories about the early days of the Marvel Age of Comics by Stan the Man made him into an almost Watcher-like figure who would pop up almost everywhere...including this one-shot about Marvel's greatest boo-boos...

BTW, The never-reprinted book is a fun read, but I'n not running it here...yet!

Here's a never-reprinted bio of the President that Donnie Milhous Trump only dreams of being...

...illustrated by the one-and-only John Buscema!

Let's start with the fact Jackson was a decorated war hero, while Trump was a draft dodger.

Taken from Dell's Life Stories of American Presidents (1957) one-shot which covered every Chief Executive from George Washington to Dwight D Eisenhower, this is a brief and accurate look at "old Hickory", as he was known.

Regrettably, the writer is unknown.

The REAL Fantastic Four!

Word is the new Fantastic Four flick is crap...

...so let's look at one of the more successful media adaptations...

Adapted from Marvel's Fantastic Four #126 (1972), this Roy Thomas-written, John Buscema/Joe Sinnott-illustrated tale beautifully-expanded on the original Stan Lee/Jack Kirby story!

The voices are a fascinating group.

Johnny Storm/Human Torch (and Narrator) was Peter Fernandez (Speed Racer himself).

Reed Richards/Mr Fantastic sounds like Les Tremayne (Mentor on the SHAZAM! TV series) who started out on dramatic radio in the late 1940s!

Though the author is unknown, the artist who penciled and inked the entire 100-page cavalcade of Presidents from Washington to Eisenhower in Dell's never-reprinted one-shot, Life Stories of Ameican Presidents (1957), was John Buscema!
