Monday Madness / CoronaVirus Comics "Preparedness 101: Zombie Pandemic" Part 1

While we're not facing a zombie pandemic...
...this comic, created by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention presents good ideas for preparing for any pandemic, including the one we're presently experiencing!
It's a clever use of the obsession with zombies currently permeating pop culture (and I say this as someone who saw the original Night of the Living Dead in a theatre on 42nd Streen in NYC) to offer parallels between fictional and potentially-real situations, and showing how to prepare for them in an entertaining way!
(I say this as someone who saw the original Night of the Living Dead in a theatre on 42nd Street in NYC and wondered what took the rest of the world to catch up!)
To Be Continued
Tomorrow!
In the meantime...
...to read up on how to prepare for any pandemic (and download some kool stuff!)

Wednesday Worlds of Wonder WALKING DEAD "Dead Vignette: Dead on Film"

Before Walking Dead: the TV series and comic books...
...there was Walking Dead: the original comic book and the (fictional) movie!
BTW, it's Not Safe for Work/School!
And thus concludes our re-presentation of the never-reprinted Aircel's Walking Dead #3 (1989)!
Created by writer/artist Jim Somerville and published by Malibu/Aircel in 1989, it was vastly-different from the 2003-present graphic novel series created by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore.
For collectors, there's good news and bad news...
Good news: There's only a four-issue mini series and a one-shot Special to collect!
Bad news: Because it didn't sell well (and has never been reprinted), it's HTF (hard to find) and expensive!
Next Wednesday...
...we return to deep space in the far future with the never-reprinted
Seeker  3000!

Wednesday Worlds of Wonder WALKING DEAD "Corpse Under Glass" Conclusion

NOTE: This tale is decidedly NOT SAFE FOR WORK/SCHOOL!
...a crippled alien starship crashes on Earth and it's cargo, a gas (created to revive dead aliens to continue fighting their centuries-old war) leaks into the atmosphere.
Due to differences between alien and human biology, it also revives dead humans...who are sentient, but maniacal!
The President declares martial law as local government collapses, and considers using nukes to end the problem!
Meanwhile, an isolated group of survivors under siege from sentient (and well-armed) zombies manage to escape, but goes back to rescue one of their own inadvertently left behind!
We now rejoin the President as he attends the funeral of his wife...
The Terror Continues...
