Reading Room ROCKET SHIP X "Our Atomic Future"

Remember when we thought the Day After Tomorrow would be...
...and all the world's woes could be solved with nuclear power?
If you're an older Baby Boomer, or one of the Greatest Generation, you might remember this tale from Fox's one-shot Rocket Ship X (1951) or something similar to it, since the unhindered (but safe) use of atomic power was being promoted as the ultimate solution to the world's oil/gasoline problems!
Oddly, when it was reprinted in Charlton's Mysteries of Unexplored Worlds #5 (1956), only the first page was shown!
Sadly, no records exist to identify the writer and artist (or writer/artist) of this unfulfilled prophecy.

Reading Room ROCKET SHIP X "Ivy Invasion"

Here's a never-reprinted tale from one of the rarest anthology titles of all...
...Fox's Rocket Ship X (1951)!
(not to be confused with the movie RocketShip X-M, which came out the year before...)
Both writer and artist(s) of this extremely-weird tale are unknown.
Fox, unlike most comics publishers in the 1940s-50s, didn't go whole-hog with sci-fi.
Though they did occasional sci-fi stories that appeared in their other adventure and action anthologies, Rocket Ship X (1951) was their lone sci fi-only anthology, and was just a one-shot.

Reading Room ROCKET SHIP X "Robot Rebellion"

We're DOOMED, do you hear me?
DOOMED, because tomorrow will bring a...
...as shown in this never-reprinted tale from Fox's Rocket Ship X #1 (1951).
It's actually a decent little tale whose creators, regrettably, are anonymous.
Think James Cameron read it as a kid?

Reading Room ROCKET SHIP X "Halley's Comet"

It was a bit of a bust in 1985...
...and it'll be returning in 2060...when many of those who are now reading this blog will see it, though I won't...(sob).
The writer and artist for this one-pager from Fox's one-shot Rocket Ship X #1 (1951) are unknown.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go and be depressed over my own mortality...
