You thought it was the origin of the walkers/biters from this Walking Dead (whose TV version returns this Sunday) series?

Er...no!

This was the origin of the first b/w Walking Dead series!

Created by writer/artist Jim Somerville and published by Malibu/Aircel in 1989, it was vastly-different from the 2003-present series created by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore.

For collectors, there's good news and bad news...

Good news: There's only a four-issue mini series and a one-shot Special to collect!

Bad news: Because it didn't sell well, it's HTF (hard to find) and expensive!

Pregnant Zombie NRA Member Sends Poison Letters to White House and Gracie Mansion

You can't make this stuff up!

Actress Shannon Rogers Guess Richardson confessed to sending letters filled with ricin, a lethal toxin to both the White House and Gracie Mansion supposedly-complaining about her belief that her right to own guns was being violated by the government.

Shannon, who is currently pregnant, had appeared as a "walker" (zombie) in two first-season episodes of Walking Dead and as a background extra in an episode of Vampire Diaries.

Between the Oscars, a new Walking Dead/Talking Dead combo, and Doctor Who: the Doctors Revisited: the Second Doctor, and a cranky Significant Other, there's no posting today.

Dead Set...Reality TV Meets Zombies!

Britain is in trouble (or, at least, more than usual).
The dead are returning to life and attacking the living.
The people they kill get up and kill – and it’s spreading like wildfire.
Curiously, there are a few people left in Britain who aren’t worried about any of this – that’s because they’re the remaining contestants on the reality series Big Brother.
Cocooned in the safety of the Big Brother House set, they’re blissfully unaware of the horrific events unfolding outside. Until an eviction night when all hell breaks loose...
Currently running on IFC, the five-part miniseries originally aired in England in 2008 to rave reviews.

Besides the usual kool classics on TCM (including previously unaired uncut Hammer Horrors , Val Lewton and Roger Corman flix, and a Vincent Price tribute), it's the best scary stuff on tv this Halloween weekend. (The Simpsons "Treehouse of Horror" won't air until November 6th!)
