It's going to be closer than it should be, but I honestly feel we're going to dodge the bullet this time. But even if we do, his acolytes are far from finished. The U.S. is being changed in ways which structurally will make it difficult for liberal ideas to ascend. But in the long run, ascend they will and must.

ReplyDeleteAs for the election, besides the popular vote (which I cannot see Biden losing), there's the Electoral College (see, 2016), GOP voter f***ery and SCOTGOP.
OTOH, everyone paying anything and not paid to lie knows that RFK Jr would peel far more R votes than Biden votes so... you know, he might be a plus EC-wise.
Eh. The choice is going to be greatly accelerating the decline into the one-party anti-democratic state the Republicans have lusted for for decades or slowing the decline enough to maybe buy some time.
Caveat: this is as hopeful I get. I can do worse, all fact-based 😬😵💫
