Though Lily Renee is the primary artist on this never-reprinted tale from Fiction House's Planet Comics #36 (1945), there's some retouching, mostly on the new characters' faces, which appears to be the work of Eisner/Iger Studio head Will Eisner himself!

The way I figure it, Lyssa and Hunt Bowman are actually driving cross-country in a VW microbus, never seen.
ReplyDeleteThis explains what we see here: Lyssa going around in strapped stiletto heels, and her skimpy Logan's Run outfit changing from issue to issue, yet neither of them carrying so much as a bedroll or canteen. It's all in the VW Kombi wagon off-screen. (Which is how they get so easily from NYC to Miami, where Lyssa rips her bath-towel outfit into a charming bikini Brigitte Bardot would have liked!)
