Friday Holiday Fun SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS Conclusion

We Have Already Seen ...

In a desperate attempt to stimulate their lethargic and unmotivated children, the Martians decide to create a Christmas celebration on Mars.
But, the idea lacks one vital element...the real Santa Claus!
The benevolent Martian leader, Kimar, leads an expedition to Earth, where the aliens invade Santa's workshop at the North Pole.
Transporting Kris Kringle (and a couple of Earth kids they ran into) to the Red Planet, the Martians build a totally-automated factory to produce enough toys in time for Christmas.
But, the big green men are divided about if Santa's presence on Mars is actually helping their offspring.
A dissident group, lead by Voldar, sabotages the factory and kidnaps who they think is Santa, but is actually Kimar's bumbling aide, Dropo in a spare Santa suit...
Now, as a special early Christmas present...
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians:
the Motion Picture!
(Actually the MST3K version condensed down to 10 minutes!)

Holiday Reading Room RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER "Who He Is and How He Came to Be!"

Much as Disney's versions of classic fairy tales have become the "accepted" ones...
...the 1964 stop-motion animated TV special of Rudolph is the one everyone knows.
But, this is the real story...
Next Tuesday:
The Plot (and the Fog) Thickens...
Written by Robert L May and illustrated by Denver Gillen, this beloved tale was actually an advertising promotion designed to lure customers into doing Christmas shopping!
True!
You can read about it HERE!

Wednesday Worlds of Wonder ATARI FORCE "Galaxian" Part 1

Welcome to the Final Tale of the Original Atari Force...

...as they probe the Multiverse for a new home for humanity to replace a devastated Earth!
Several questions:
Who are the people shown in the holocube?
Does Atari not have a version of the Prime Directive?
Writers Roy Thomas & Gerry Conway and artists Gil Kane & Dick Giordano may have the answers, but they ain't telling, yet!
This mini-comic, DC's Atari Force #5 (1983), was packaged with the Atari videogame cartridge Galaxian.
It was not sold separately.
To Be Continued

Rudolph Reading Room RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER the Secret Saga!

You only think  you know the story...
...but the truth is far different!
Yeah, you know the 1940s song and you've seen the 1960s animated TV special every Christmas for as long as you can remember.
But, it's not the original tale of the guy with the glowing nose!
Starting Thursday, we're re-presenting a special treat...the rarely-seen prose tale that inspired both the Gene Autry song and stop-motion tv special.
Here's a vintage 1940s cartoon by Max Fleischer that's somewhat closer to the "classic" version...
And be here Thursday for the actual, illustrated, prose tale!
